The course aims to explore the theme of time in Orlando Furioso through two perspectives: a historical-chronological approach and a thematic-textual analysis. To articulate and connect these two dimensions, the course is divided into three modules:

1. Module 1:

   • Dedicated to Ariosto’s sources.

2. Module 2:

   • Focused on a critical analysis of the work, with particular attention to the narrative tool of interweaving storylines (intreccio).

3. Module 3:

   • Examining the rewritings and reinterpretations of the text beyond its original period of production.
